Stranglehold
Melinda's dreams about a man in a mask lead her to a family who's son was killed years ago, and she finds out that the killer was prosecuted and convicted by her father. Trying to find out more information, she goes to Gabriel, and is surprised when her father is there too, alive. The killer later escaped from prison during a fire and was never found, and Melinda becomes worried that he is trying to hurt her father by possessing him and pushing him out of his own body. She believes that this is what has caused her to see his ghost recently; that he has been coming to her when he is pushed out of his body. The little boy is also possessing people so that he can be close to his mother, but after Melinda talks to both of them, she finds out that the boy was not killed, that his death was an accident. Once he told them this, he was able to cross over. Melinda goes to her father's hotel room, concerned about him, and just as she gets there, there is a gunshot and blood spills from beneath the door.

Professor Payne meets Elliot, the brilliant son of one of his old girlfriends. When Payne discovers that the boy is almost 10-years-old, he realizes he may be the boy's father. This angers his deceased wife. After watching Payne, Elliot, and the boy's mother, Melinda tells Jim she wants to have a baby.
Melinda meets with Carl, a detective she hired to trace her father's whereabouts after he left Melinda and her mother. Carl stops by the house to give her the little bit of information he collected on her father and something strange happens to him while he talks to Melinda.

In this episode a kid in university who likes making horror films has other kids face their worst fears on his movies. He died in shooting his last movie. Melinda meets a new girl (Kylie) who comes to work with Melinda and Delia. Melinda finds out that Kylie is being haunted by this guy because he wants her to finish the movie he died making. The guy tries to scare Melinda because the slasher movies that she's scared of are about abandonment. (Melinda's dad left her when she was a kid) At the end of the episode, Kylie finishes the movie and the kid crossed over.

In the new issue of Us Weekly, on newsstands now, the 29-year-old shows off the new body she got after just 10 weeks and her trainer reveals to Us exclusively how she lost 18 pounds.
“I am in a pretty good workout regimen that I like, so it inspired me to keep it up,” Hewitt tells Us. “The energy level and the way I feel now is great.”
“With her, it’s not, ‘I want to look good in that dress,’” trainer Stevie Sant’Angelo tells Us. “She wanted to start moving around because she thought it would make her feel better.
“She told me, ‘They said some rude, mean things, but that’s not why I wanted to change,’” Sant’Angelo says.
